Welcome to The Ceilidh
Project!
Primarily sponsored by XE3 the goal
is to create a pirate ship, art car,
party vehicle to travel around the country attending Renaissance
Faires, Pirate Festivals and art car events,
for UNDER $3000!
In today's economy everyone is having a tough time just making a living. This is as true for the live entertainment industry as any other. As a Professional Sword Swallower I have made my living traveling the world and doing shows for well over 20 years. I've gone through several "normal" vehicles and a couple custom built ones.
I felt it was time to make my vehicle pay it's own way while at the same time provide a showpiece that will attract attention for the festivals I was performing at and provide a fun meeting place for the community of performers and entertainers that work at the events.
The trick is to do it on a VERY TIGHT budget. Basically because I can't afford to do it any other way!
Since Sword Swallowing is quite literally a dieing art I also felt that a showpiece like this would help with my name branding (which means more bookings and shows) while spreading a lot of smiles throughout the country!

On this website we will document the progress of the project in word and pictures.
Explain the ups and downs and the step by step steps we are taking to create The Ceilidh.
Hopefully this site will inspire people to take their own dreams and turn them into a reality.
After all, there is no finer feeling in life than making a dream come true. Especially when that dream can spread miles of smiles across the countryside.
The first picture here is the RV as I found it when I answered an add in Craig's list.
She's in pretty rough shape, is mostly stripped out on the inside, water tank is on the roof, mufflers are blown out and I found out after striking a deal for $500 that the title was missing in action.
But she runs good and has new tires and a seemingly solid frame and that's what I was looking for.
Please visit the Sponsors page and patronize the businesses
and festivals that are kind enough to help bring this dream to
fruition.
