This is where I first saw it and bought it.

Lots of spray paint on her but that won't matter.

The Interior is 85% stripped out. Looks like she has more than 1 leak.
What paneling that is left is waterlogged and moldy. Lots of rusty metal framework visible.

After stripping out the wood and old fiberglass insulation the water damage is even more evident. All the old wood will have to come out.

The vents all have leaks too. I guess we'll be stripping everything out and starting with a clean slate.

Well I guess it's time to get to work!
I have to strip out everything and take it right down to the metal frame.
Fun Fun Fun!
Here we go!
Now that I paid the $500 for the RV I had to get it home.
Stopped to get gas and she scared me by almost not starting back up. Didn't have much battery power at all. That will be one of the first things I have to replace.
When I hit the brakes it jerked pretty hard to the right and slowly bled down. I had noticed a little pull during the "Drive around the neighborhood" test, but hitting the brakes at 45 MPH the first time only to have the wheel promptly twist so hard it about pulled my arm out of the socket was NOT fun!
Probably a bad wheel cylinder and will need a rebuild to the master cylinder. Oh the joys of used vehicle ownership.
Now that I'm ready for it it's driveable but boy does that need fixing quick. Can't have this size/ weight of vehicle on the road with questionable brakes at all.
Well the passenger side mirror had no brace so it folded back immediately upon hitting the highway.
I snuck off the next exit, ended up in a packed mall parking lot. Finally got parked and walked around to fix the mirror.
Adjust it, feels tight, don't even notice the crossbar is missing so there is now way this mirror is staying out, walk around and head off again. 5 twists, a wrong turn and one-way street later, finally back on the highway, hit 55 mph and the mirror smartly snaps back in flat against the passenger door.
Fuck.
So I got in the right lane and stayed there! lol Nothing like driving a strange vehicle this size down the interstate, uninsured, unregistered, iffy grabbing brakes, screeching power steering belt and not being able to see anything at all on the right. I love to live dangerously.
I forgot to mention that during the twists and turns to get out of that mall parking lot the refrigerator fell out of it's hole. Slammed across the RV and landed catywhompas across the hallway. I figured it couldn't fall any further so left it there.
Well I got her on the highway and up to speed. Runs out OK to 60 mph but sounds like the power steering belt is loose. At least I hope it's the belt or just low on fluid. replacing the power steering pump would be expensive.
Got her home with no further incidents. The engines a little rough around the edges but didn't feel like anything a good tune-up won't fix.
Had to take her up this back alley dirt road with really low overhanging trees. I'm gonna have to go trim those down before she drives out. Got her pulled onto the recently emptied asphalt slab. The old pleasure boat that was there was donated to charity.
One of the Mufflers is blown out so it's loud as hell, it jerks hard and tries to run off the road when you hit the brakes and the power steering belt is screeching away. I love it! lol
