Performances

I have been Producing or Performing in a show of one type or another for well over 25 years. I have worked with cast and crew for several and done several versions of solo shows for audiences of 10 to 10 thousand. The further down this page you go the farther back in time you go. You can book the first few shows but older shows are included for historical purposes only. The availability status of every show is at the bottom of it's description. This is not a complete list it is just a few of my more recent shows and will change as shows are added or dropped.

"The Dangerous Blades of Phoenix Blaze"

"Dangerous Blades" is currently bookingl!
After headlining East Coast Renaissance fairs for over 10 years with
"Fire & Steel" I decided it was time for a whole new show. With all new costumes, props and routines the new show will feature more sword swallowing, sword balancing and dangerous blade work.

Performance Artist
My current PA show is titled "Bolt" and can run anywhere from 20 minutes to 2 days. I spend the time welding and grinding and hammering on a powered movement metal sculpture while running a conversation with the spectators. I can push any crowd into my stories and art and the finished piece is left for the venue or patron. I generally set up a stage area (a 3 sided steel box) at least a day in advance as the space is an integral part of the show. Flames, sparks, smoke and VERY LOUD NOISES are generated during the show.
Pieces may be themed for the event to a certain degree but final artistic interpretation is always left in my hands.

Outlaw Builders Extreme Toy Challenge
This is a new show themed for the gear head crowd. This is an ensemble show that features a local (to the venue) school team of up to 10 kids in a "Monster Garage" style challenge. A working shop with railing for spectator separation and safety screening is set up and the kids build an Extreme toy during the event guided by a Master fabricator. In anywhere from 3 to 10 days we build a radical toy in front of the audience thus providing live automotive themed entertainment throughout the event. This show has met with great enthusiasm and was premiered at The Food Lion Auto Fair the largest Auto show in America to rave reviews. TV personalities Big Schwag and Bodydrop are available to lend their own special touch to this show that features builders and employees from the popular Discovery channel shows Monster Garage, Monster House and Monster Nation. The theme of this show is to get school age children interested in fabrication and donate tools and funds to the school system. All vehicles and prizes are provided by sponsors and end up in the school system involved with each build.

RoboJoust
Watch as over 50 robots in weight classes up to 220 pounds fight to see who will be the best of the best! Teams from around the world vie to compete in our twice yearly street fight format robot competitions. Top name competitors bring color and technology together with education and plain out smash-em-up fun! RoboJoust is a large venue show with a production crew of over 15 people and robot teams numbering over 150 people. A large amount of space is needed for pits and arena plus safety and inspection areas. RoboJoust is a founding member of the RFL and the largest robotic competition in Nevada.
Production of RoboJoust is on Hiatus.

Xoma
A disturbing jaunt through a "trained" humans act. A daringly sexy female trainer in black leather whips Xoma through his routine. Raised in the Borneo jungle by a tribe of monkeys Xoma is just a little different. This show contains graphic demonstrations of sword swallowing, fire eating and disturbing insertions into the human body. While being graphic, intense and adult based it is not adults only. It can be but usually isn't. Outdoor shows can get fire breathing finales with 35' flames and indoor shows get routines that cannot be done outside such as sword balancing. Xoma does not talk. The entire show is done to music and includes spectacular Pyro effects.

Fire & Steel
A 20 minute show that can be performed up to 4 times a day. Sword swallowing, fire eating, fire breathing, ice picks up the nose and MORE MORE MORE! Extravagant period costuming and script make this a true 16th century experience. This show recreates a Renaissance Jongleur's show and is 20 minutes of "edge-of-your-seat" excitement and drama. This show has evolved over the years into a top billing tightly run show that appears to be a train wreck on stage with a freak running the shovel. This show is very graphic and disturbing in nature and is intended for an adult audience. While many children flock to my show several times a day I always explain that if they understand my jokes, "It's not MY fault".
I am one of less than 25 working sword swallowers in the US and have been performing this show since 1987.
Everything I do on stage is real. The swords are real steel and the fire is real hot. I am NOT a magician and I don't magish. I could actually cause myself a fatal injury at least 7 times per show. It's the price I pay for my art.
Production of Fire & Steel is on Hiatus.

The Abbey Lane Puppeteers
A Renaissance themed puppet show suitable for all ages. Original scripts are all comedy based and make heavy use of period style puppet slap stick. A 12' long by 8' tall stage windows the show and should be able to be assembled at least 2 hours before the show. This is an ensemble show with a production crew of 2 to 5 people.
Abbey Lane Puppeteers has been sold to the crew who are still touring with it.

Some of my credits include; Monster Garage and Monsterize Everything on the Discovery Channel and I am still featured in some commercials for those shows. I was a featured builder in Battlebots and BattleBots commercials for over 2 years. I had a very popular and winning robot on Robot Wars Extreme Warriors in London. I also appeared in Robotica for Original Productions and the Discovery channel. I have done several local news shows as a diplomat for differing events around the world including various radio spots for advertising and I was kicked off the set of Romper Room as a child. I have Ringling clown training and several years of solo and group performances with many circuses as a clown. I am a competent percussionist with a penchant for tympani and hand played drums. I have produced shows in such venues as The Riviera Hotel & casino, The Plaza Hotel & casino and Castaway's Resort casino, The Mount Hope Estate and The Castle of Muskogee to name a few.

Thanks for taking the time to visit!
